Standard Feeding Operation Specifications for Wood Router Cutting

Correct feeding direction and speed to avoid machining defects and safety hazards

Standard feeding operation is an important part of safe woodworking router processing. Unreasonable feeding direction and speed will not only damage workpieces and router bits, but also trigger mechanical jamming and splashing accidents.

Follow unified feeding rules during operation: always feed the router from the left to the right of the wood board, and move along the same direction as the wood grain. This operation mode ensures smooth tool cutting and avoids tool bouncing caused by grain resistance.

Control the feeding speed stably and avoid two extreme operations. Feeding too slowly will cause long-term friction between the router bit and wood, resulting in wood burning and tool overheating damage. Feeding too fast leads to rough cutting edges, tool overload and accelerated wear.

Maintain uniform and stable feeding action throughout the process. Standard feeding operation can effectively improve processing flatness, reduce tool loss, and eliminate hidden dangers such as tool jamming and workpiece splashing, ensuring safe and efficient woodworking processing.
